Northeast Trade Union Election Result : After the majority of Northeast Railway Men’s Congress in the trade union election for recognition in Indian Railways. A wave of happiness ran among the workers. People started raising slogans for the winning candidates.
In the railway trade union election for recognition in Indian Railways, NE Railway Men’s Congress (NERMC) registered victory in Northeast Railway Zone. NERMC has registered victory in Northeast Railway Zone with absolute majority. After the victory of Kursi Chhap NERMC, the DRM campus echoed with the slogan of Kursi Chhap Baki Sab Saaf. On the other hand, Northern Railway Men’s Union and Northern Railway Mazdoor Union registered victory in Northern Railway. NRMU got 41 percent and URMU got 37 percent votes. Only the union which gets 35 percent votes gets recognition.
As soon as the result was announced on Wednesday evening, NERMC officials and supporters took out a procession. Along with this, they celebrated by feeding sweets to each other outside Lahartara DRM office. Counting of votes began at 8 am in the presence of RPF and Sigra police in DRM Bhawan. During counting on four tables, NERMC maintained its lead from the first round itself.
Out of 10154 votes of Northeast Railway Varanasi division, 46 votes were declared invalid. NE Railway Men’s Congress got 6063 votes, NERMU got 1801, PRKS got 1152, PRSS got 779, PRKU got 22 and SBRKU got 291 votes. After 4:30 pm, NE Railway Men’s Congress was declared victorious. Central President of NE Railway Men’s Congress Akhilesh Pandey gave all the credit of the victory to the young employees.

Divisional President of Varanasi Division Manoj Kumar and Divisional Minister Rakesh Pal said that. NERMC will live up to all the expectations of the employees. This election was fought in 16 zones of entire Indian Railways and 17 zones of Kolkata Metro, in which NE Railway Men’s Congress has won in Northeast Railway Zone.
General Secretary Abdul Sheikh told that a total of 36354 votes were cast in Northeast Railway Zone and NE Railway Men’s Congress won by getting 17287 votes. Devanand Yadav, Pankaj Singh, Sujit Kumar, Deepak Mishra, Vice President Gopinath had a significant contribution in this victory.

Northeast Trade Union Election Result : URMU’s dominance continues
Northern Railway Mazdoor Union’s dominance remained intact in the recognition election. It has won again. URMU got more than 37 percent votes instead of 35 percent, which is the standard of recognition of railways. Northern Railway Mazdoor Union Varanasi’s branch minister Vindhyavasini Yadav congratulated all the railway employees and thanked them for this victory.
In Northern Railway Lucknow Division including Varanasi Cantt. NRMU got 8251 votes, URMU got 6474 votes, NREU got 1753 votes, URKU got 867 votes, SRBKU got 42 votes and 51 votes were declared invalid.
Branch Secretary of Northern Railway Men’s Union Sunil Singh said that Northern Railway Men’s Union has registered a tremendous victory on the entire Northern Railway.
It has once again succeeded in getting recognition as the largest union. For this, I thank all the railway employees working in Varanasi. He said that this victory has been possible due to the efficient leadership of Northern Railway Men’s Union General Secretary Shivgopal Mishra.
