This time, there is a heated discussion among the public about which way the results of Ghaziabad assembly seat will go. SP has targeted the Dalit vote bank of BSP through Singhraj Jatav.
Candidates and Party Name who have come forward so far

Dharmendra Singh from Rashtriya Janlok Party Satya
Attempt to solve caste equations
Now in a close contest in the assembly by-elections, BJP has captured the Brahmin vote bank through Sanjeev Sharma. At the same time, after the alliance of SP-Congress, apart from Congress voters, BSP’s vote bank can also go towards Singhraj Jatav.
This time BSP has given ticket to a candidate from Vaishya community. Due to this, the votes of Vaishya community, the core vote bank of BJP, may get divided to some extent.
It will be interesting to see what BSP candidate Parmanand Garg spoils the equation. Political experts say that if Parmanand Garg succeeds in cutting the votes of Vaishya community, then it is certain that it will have an impact on BJP.
The special thing is that this time BJP has given ticket to the candidate of Brahmin community instead of Vaishya community.
This is the strategy
Voters of Vaishya community can also be influenced through Parmanand Garg. Political experts say that SP already has Muslim and Yadav voters. In such a situation, now an attempt has been made to win over Dalit voters by playing the Dalit card.
In the UP Assembly elections 2022, a total of 61.37 percent votes were cast in Ghaziabad. Bharatiya Janata Party’s Atul Garg defeated Samajwadi Party’s Vishal Verma by a margin of 1,05,537 votes.
Caste equation of Ghaziabad vidhan sabha seat
Till now, Bharatiya Janata Party has won the elections from Ghaziabad assembly seat 6 times. At the same time, Congress has got success four times. In the elections held since 1977, BJP has been seen gaining hold on this seat. Bahujan Samaj Party has captured this seat once.
This time the contest is likely to be triangular in elections. BJP is hoping for victory with the help of Brahmin face. Akhilesh Yadav has placed his bet on the Dalit candidate under the PDA equation. BSP has tried to woo Vaishya voters.
Dalits and Muslims together decide victory and defeat in Ghaziabad assembly seat. The number of Dalit and Muslim voters in this seat is more than one lakh. The number of Dalit voters is quite high in some areas including Vijayanagar.
At the same time, Kailabhatt, Chaman Colony, Mirzapur are Muslim dominated areas. In 2012, BSP got the benefit of coming together with Dalits and Muslims. The number of Dalit voters in this seat is around 75 thousand.
Keeping this in view, Samajwadi Party has tried to woo this class through Singhraj Jatav. There are more than 50 thousand Brahmin voters on Ghaziabad city seat. The number of Vaishya voters is around 35 thousand.
Apart from these, there are 25 thousand Thakur voters, 12 thousand Punjabi voters and 11 thousand Yadav voters. These decide the equations of victory in the assembly elections.

Phulpur Bye Election Results 2024 – Seat Equation
The equation is complicated in the mathematics of castes in Phulpur vidhan sabha seat of UP. It is a challenge for the leaders to fathom the minds of the voters. The direct fight between caste divisions is between SP and BJP.
It has never been easy for all the political pundits to guess the mood of the people of Phulpur, which gained headlines as the workplace of the country’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. This time in the Phulpur vidhan sabha by-election, there is a direct fight between SP and BJP on the basis of caste.
By changing the candidate during the elections, the role of BSP seems to be nothing more than vote-stealing. While BJP has placed its bet on former MLA Deepak Patel, SP has again given a chance to an experienced three-time MLA like Mujtaba Siddiqui.
BJP’s Praveen Patel, who defeated Mujtaba by 2700 votes in the 2022 elections, has now become an MP. Since 2022, SP has been giving a strong challenge to BJP here.
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, SP was successful in getting about 18 thousand votes from here. For this reason, along with boasting about the achievements of the Central and State Government, the BJP is also putting its full strength into setting the caste quota.
There are more than 70 thousand Kurmi voters in this seat which has more than four lakh voters. Keeping the connection with the upper caste votes simple, BJP is again trying to send Deepak to the assembly.
At the same time, the second largest community is Yadav, which appears to be in a strong position due to the Mai (Muslim-Yadav) equation. Due to the support of other backward castes and Dalits in the Lok Sabha elections, BJP was able to win by barely 4300 votes.
BJP’s hopes rest on polarization
BJP has won Phulpur assembly elections in 2017 and 2022. The party is eyeing a hat-trick. SP has fielded a Muslim candidate from this seat. Because of this, BJP’s entire focus is on the voters of Kurmi, Maurya, Dalit, Kushwaha and upper caste communities. At the same time, due to the traditional voters of SP, the alliance candidates are considering their equation as strong. However, BSP may also prove to be a dark horse here.
OBC are in decisive role
Phulpur has a total of 4.07 lakh voters, of which 2.23 lakh are males and 1.83 lakh are females. OBCs play a decisive role in terms of caste equations. Especially Patel and Yadav voters have been deciding victory and defeat. BSP candidate Jitendra Kumar Singh is a newcomer. Their plight is also that the party has fielded the declared ticket of Shivbaran Pasi. Due to this, it is also being said that there is resentment towards BSP in the Pasi community.
Mujtaba lost by a margin of 2723 votes
In the 2022 assembly elections, BJP’s Praveen Patel defeated SP’s Mujtaba Siddiqui by 2723 votes. Deepak Patel of BJP has been MLA from Karchana in 2012. His mother Keshari Devi Patel was MP from Phulpur in 2019 and before that, she was District Panchayat President for 15 years.
Small parties may lose votes
Chandrashekhar Azad’s Azad Samaj Party is also in the fray here for the first time. Their candidate Shahid Akhtar Khan can disturb the equation of SP. Due to the victory-defeat margin being very small last time, some other candidates are also increasing the tension between BJP and SP.
