Amravati Election Live Results 2024: After the Election Commission released the schedule, there has been a round of high profile meetings within the Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi alliances. This time Maharashtra elections are being served to the public with a different kind of flavor in which two different parties of the same political ideology are facing each other. However, voting is to be held on all 288 seats in Maharashtra in a single phase which will be held on November 20th.

Presently Sulabha Sanjay Khodke of Congress is the MLA from Amravati Assembly seat. Earlier this seat was held by BJP’s Sunil Deshmukh. Before this, Congress has had the upper hand on this assembly seat for three consecutive five years. Sunil Deshmukh and Rao Saheb Shekhawat from Congress have represented this seat in the Assembly.

This seat was also considered a stronghold of Congress for a long time, although the mathematics had changed after BJP’s victory in the 2014 elections, but Congress has captured the seat again in 2019.

What happened in the last Amravati election results?

If we talk about the last election i.e. 2019 election on Amravati vidhan sabha seat, Sulabha Khodke was in the fray here with a ticket from Congress. In front of him, Sunil Deshmukh was contesting the elections on BJP ticket. This is the same Sunil Deshmukh who has been MLA from this assembly seat twice from Congress. After this, he contested the elections on BJP ticket in 2014 and won.

However, in 2019, the public completely rejected his claim. In this election, Sulabha of Congress got a total of 82,582 votes while Sunil Deshmukh, who is contesting for the second time on BJP ticket and has been MLA from the same seat twice, had to be satisfied with 64,313 votes. Sulabha had defeated Sunil Deshmukh by a huge margin of 18269 votes.

If we talk about caste equations in Amravati assembly seat, there are only 16 percent SC voters here. Whereas Muslim voters are about 46 percent. That means almost half of the population here is Muslim community. Voters from rural areas are also not included in Amravati Assembly.

Rajendra Patni has won elections from this seat thrice and twice consecutively on BJP ticket. Earlier this seat was with NCP and before that with Shiv Sena.

The people here have given a chance to all the parties to win here one by one. This seat came into existence for the first time in 1978.

What happened in the last Karanja Assembly election results?

Talking about the 2019 elections in Karanja assembly seat, Rajendra Patni from BJP once again got a chance, while Prakash from NCP stood before him. BSP had fielded Mohammad Yusuf Safi and VBA had fielded Ram Sheshrao in the electoral battle. In this election the public once again supported BJP’s Rajendra Patni. When the election results came after the elections, the results shocked everyone. BJP’s Rajendra got a total of 73,205 votes. While his nearest rival NCP’s Prakash Dahke got 50,481 votes. The third party getting votes here was BSP which got 41,907 votes.

Caste equation in Karanja Assembly seat.

Karanja Assembly seat is an important seat for the state in many respects. It has the highest number of SC voters which is around 14 percent. ST voters are also in large numbers here. If we talk about their vote share, it is around 7 percent. Muslim voters here are about 20 percent. The urban voters here are around 20 percent and the rural voters are around 80 percent.
