The government can get the advantage because if the ruling party of the center wins with a complete majority then it can nominate significant members to the Rajya Sabha. If the opposing parties win then they can act as a stronger opposition in the Rajya Sabha (Upper House of the Parliament) which they are not able to play in the Lok Sabha (Lower House of the Parliament).

The rallies have begun and in the recent Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) rally the party Boss and the ex Chief Minister Of Uttar Pradesh Kumari Mayawati has made it clear that the party would not form any alliance to win the elections. She also confidently declared that in the upcoming elections the party will win and urged the Muslims to vote in unity to the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and not vote for the ruling Samajwadi Party (SP). The present Chief Minister of the ruling Samajwadi Party has said that his work will do the talk. The Bhartitya  Janta Party (BJP )will use the face of Narender Modi in these elections. The Indian National Congress (INC) Vice President Rahul Gandhi is right now making political grounds by raising the issues of the farmers.

The Election Commission is yet to announce the dates of the elections yet except the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) which is going to announce soon, others have declared their Chief Minister candidates. The Samajwadi Party (SP) has declared Akhilesh Yadav , the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has declared  Mayawati   and the Indian National Congress (INC) has declared Sheila Dixit as their respective CM candidates.
