In a democracy and especially in a country which is the world’s largest democracy the electoral body is never relaxed. In the month of November 2016 some of the states including the state of Madhya Pradesh will be observing bye elections for the Vidhan Sabha (State Assembly) Constituencies. The bye election 2016 in Madhya Pradesh is for Nepanagar constituency of the Vidhan Sabha (State Assembly) elections which has fallen vacant due to the death of MLA Late Rajendra Shyamlal Dadu of the Bhrtiya Janta Party (BJP). The State of Madhya Pradesh is governed by the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) with Shivraj Singh Chauhan as the Chief Minister. The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in order to retain the seat has fielded the daughter of late MLA Rajendra Shyamlal Dadu, Manju Dadu, as the candidate for this seat keeping in view that it will also give them the advantage of sympathy vote. Whereas the Indian National Congress (INC) has decided to place Antar Singh Barde against the BJP’s Candidate. The Indian National Congress (INC) and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in the State have been in feud with eachother for a long time over various state issues. The Lok Sabha seat under which the Napenagar falls, is won by the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and therefore the party would not like to lose this election to express its strength in the strength in the state. The Indian National Congress (INC) would certainly want to win to revive itself in the state.

Other than these prime adversaries, the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and the Indian national Congress (INC) there are some other candidates who too have filed nomination for running for the MLA from this constituency. The addition of the local candidates which includes the independent candidates has made the election tougher.

The election Commission has got everything under control and to maintain its control it is taking appropriate steps and meetings are being held between the district authority members and the Election Commission Officials.
