As per the schedule, the six phases in the 2016 Legislative Assembly for the state of West Bengal were peacefully accomplished. All the six phases went through some crucial incidents which could have gone worse and put an adverse impact on the election session. On the 19th of May 2016, West Bengal (Howrah Madhya/ Uttar,  Amta) Vidhan Sabha Results 2016 will be declared which will be the verdict of the people of the state.

The 4th of the 6 phases was conducted on the 25th of April 2016. The fourth phase voters’ percentage was registered as 81.25%. A total of 49 constituencies were included in this session which also covered Howrah Uttar, Howrah Madhya and Amta Vidhan Sabha Constituencies of West Bengal.

Howrah Madhya Vidhan Sabha is the 171st constituency and is classified as open (general) category seat. It is part of Howrah district of the state of West Bengal. In the 2011 legislative Assembly elections, Howrah Madhya Vidhan Sabha seat was won by Aroop Roy (Apu) who represented as the candidate of All India Trinamool Congress (AITMC). Aroop defeated the strongest rival Arup Ray (Tukun) of Communist Party of India -Maxist (CPI- M). The other competent parties for this seat are Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), INC, Janta Dal United (JD- U), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). There are several independent candidates al so.

Amta Howrah Madhya Vidhan Sabha (Assembly) Election Live Results

Howrah Uttar Vidhan Sabha seat is the 170th constituency and is classified as open (general) category seat. It is part of Howrah district of the state of West Bengal. In the 2011 legislative Assembly elections, Howrah Uttar Vidhan Sabha Seat was won by Ashoke Ghosh who represented as the candidate of All India Trinamool Congress (AITMC). Ashok defeated the strongest rival Nemai Samanta of Communist Party of India -Maxist (CPI- M). The other competent parties for this seat are Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), INC, Janta Dal United (JD- U), JD (S), Forward Bloc and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). There are many independent candidates.

Amta Vidhan Sabha seat is the 181st constituency and is classified as open (general) category seat. It is part of Howrah district of the state of West Bengal. In the 2011 legislative Assembly elections Amta was won by Asit Mitra who represented as the candidate of Indian Natioanal Congress (INC). Asit Mitra defeated the strongest rival Rabindra Nath Mitra of Communist Party of India -Maxist (CPI- M). There are several independent candidates. The competent parties for this seat are Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), all India Trinamool Congress (AITMC), and Forward Bloc.
